Zika virus in Japan

Japan is an island country in East Asia. Located in the Pacific Ocean, it lies to the east of the Sea of Japan, the East China Sea, China, North Korea, South Korea and Russia, stretching from the Sea of Okhotsk in the north to the East China Sea and Taiwan in the south.
Three people have contracted the Zika virus in 2013 after returning from abroad.
On 25 February 2016, the first Zika case in Japan since May 2015 was confirmed. A male teenager in Kanagawa prefecture, who returned from Brazil has been infected with the virus.
